What is a balloon mortgage?
A balloon mortgage is usually a short-term mortgage loan. The payment is based (amortized) on a longer-term, typically 15, 20, or 30 years. At the end of your term, you can refinance your home at the current interest rate, pay off your home, or sell your home. Because of our low fees and low-interest rates, a balloon mortgage is an excellent solution if you are looking to sell your home in the next 5 to 7 years.
